Around 100 years ago, Las Vegas was nothing more than a dusty little spot in the Nevada desert. Today, it’s a high-flying circus type of “city-on-adrenaline” that’s growing so fast that for the time in its history, entertainment-related revenues now outperform gambling revenue. Fortunately, or unfortunately, depending on how you look at it, there’s only one Las Vegas, and that fact all to often fails to register with politicians desperate for gambling’s tax dollars to fill city coffers.
